The Full Story
Hi! Our names are Mrethi and Janani, two high school students and the proud leaders of HER Finance, an initiative dedicated to empowering girls through financial literacy. We started this project because we believe access to financial education is not just a skill, it's a tool for freedom.

Growing up, we both saw firsthand how a lack of financial knowledge can limit choices, especially for women. We are deeply passionate about breaking this cycle by giving young girls the confidence, resources, and knowledge they need to take control of their futures. Our goal is to ensure that no girl feels powerless when it comes to managing her money, planning her goals, or building her dreams.

Through our carefully crafted curriculum, effective resources, and hands on learning tactics, we promote a focused and productive environment where 3rd-8th grade girls can get a head start when it comes to their future wealth.

Come to our bi-weekly meetings where we intensively teach critical financial lessons through engaging games, collaboration, and group discussion
RETAIN
To practice skills outside of the meetings, we issue many effective resources and projects via our Google Classroom for students to be consistent with their practice
TEST
In order to test your knowledge, answer questions during meetings and earn DollHERS: our reward system that quantitatively analyzes your understanding of savings and other crucial financial concepts
